INDIA AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD

India is a nation always having a positive attitude towards neighbor countries. In 1954 former PM Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru presented his five point program in this regard to raise friendly relationship with china. Now china is raising its armed power which is a big problem for or nation. China had friendly relation with India only up to 12th century due to Nalanda University. After its destruction the relation goes in vain. As now a day’s India is a big market for Chinese goods then also the relation is not improving in actual sense.
Pakistan and India, both having stressed relationship on Kashmir issue. A number of efforts are continuously going on to maintain peace and harmony with this close neighbor. In 1999 former PM Atal Bihari Vajpaee had a historical trip to Lahore. Later on a bus service is also started from Delhi to Lahore to improve the relationship but the bus becomes a big cause of terrorist attacks. Now a day’s again the things are politically seems improving as Pakistan's foreign minister miss Heena Rabani Khaar came on a trip to Delhi and she had a important talk with our foreign minster S.M.Krishna regarding fighting against terrorism.
India and Afghanistan having good relationship as India always provided desired financial help to the nation whenever required. India helped the nation to fight against Taliban and also invested $2.2 billion for rehabilitation of people. On 4th Oct Afghanistan’s president Hammed Karjaye came on a trip to India and signed three important Agreements. Even for the hydrocarbon development India had a special agreement with Afghanistan Petroleum and gas ministry. Mr. Karjaye mentioned during his speech that,"India always remains an honest and helpful friend."
On 25th July Bangladeshi government honored Late Indira Gandhi with its highest award of "Bangladesh Independence Award". The award was collected by her daughter-in-law Mrs. Sonia Gandhi presented by Bangladesh president Jillur Rehman. For a long time both the nation have a stressful relation due to common water sharing of Tista and Feena rivers and legal declaration of border map. Relation improved after the victory of Sheikh Hassena in Bangladesh elections.  On 24th Sep in Dehradun all the problems and issues were short out.
India and Bhutan, always having a friendly relationship. In 1949 both nation signed a friendship agreement. In 2007 it was improved by King Jigmy Khaser Namgayal Wanchung. The relationship with the nation is clearer on the marriage ceremony of the king. Only Rahul Gandhi was the single foreign guest invited.
As we see the nation is progressing towards a positive relationship towards his neighbor countries which is a good sign for a notion moving towards development.
